Longines Watch Appraisal Question: Hello this is Stacey. I am interested in appraising a watch I got from my greatgrandmother.

My fear is that I spend money to have it appraised and it’s worth nothing.

I have looked for hours online and e-bay and such and I can’t find a watch just like it anywhere. Is this a good thing.?

It is a Longines, 14k solid gold watch. It’s believed to be from the late 50’s early 60’s. I have a number from the back plate and it still works.

I am interested in selling it but have no idea if it’s worth anything.

I was told by one jeweler it was 2 to 4 thousand. That seems odd for something I have had tucked away for years.

Let me know if you think it would be worth appraising for selling or personal purposes.
