Eastern star ring Question: I have a gold ring that belonged to my great-great-grandmother.

Successful Diamond & Jewelry Selling

It is affiliated with the Order of Eastern Star.

It is shaped to resemble a shooting star(thick raised gold as the head of the star and tapers into a tail of the shooting star as it wraps around your finger) and has 6 diamonds and 5 ruby’s.

Any idea what this would appraise for?

The insurance retail value is 280,000 dollars and I took it to Sotheby’s and they told me that they will set the reserve at only 80,000 dollars.

Is that realistic?
