February 4th, 2010Rhodium Plating and pave Diamonds
Question: I have a white gold ring which is rhodium plated.
Price: $15.60
I hear sometimes the ring will tarnish and needs to be re-plated with the rhodium.
Will this be an issue with a ring with pave diamonds? Do all these diamonds have to be removed before it can be re-plated.
Is there a significant difference in price between a white gold-rhodium plated ring and a platinum ring.
Do platinum rings tarnish as well?
Thanks…… Continue reading Rhodium Plating...

Understanding Jewelry Appraisals.
Opal stickpins are made with some of those enchanting, iridescent kinds of opal which so rarely keep their prettiness unless knowledgeably well-looked-after. February 4th, 2010Longines Watch Appraisal Question: Hello this is Stacey. I am interested in appraising a watch I got from my great grandmother.
My fear is that I spend money to have it appraised and it’s worth nothing.
