Gold bracelet letdown Question: My grandmother came back from Bari, Italy with a gift for my brother and I.
Two 18k White gold bracelets.

Recently somethings have come up in the family and i went to go appraise my bracelet to see if I could lend a hand to my household. The guy behind the counter without event pulling out a magnifying lens took one look at the hallmark on it and said it was gold plated.
I did a little research on the mark it bears, 750. It said it was 18kt gold and if something is gold plated it usually has GEP next to it.
My question is there is another mark on this bracelet that I haven’t found anywhere on my searches online, to the left of the gold marking which kinda looks like this ( * 1947 AR ).
I looked for silver hallmarks just to be safe and have no idea what this means. Can anyone help me?
