It has many elements which should be the starting point for anyone seeking answers.

Is This Cameo Real Question: I am trying to identify a Cameo that was passed down to my wife as to if it is real or not.

And that was a Shame because it did two important things at the same time.

  1. It Standardized the Value which helped to create uniformity from one appraiser, jeweler, value to another, thereby breaking the wild swings in price.
  2. It Created

Value of Pearl Necklace

The question came in to Ask The Appraiser and I thought it would be very relevant, so I have added it here.

Pearl Necklace Question:

I am trying to get an idea on the value of a pearl necklace that has been handed down to me from my grandmother.

The Pearl Necklace

It was purchased around 1905 in New York City, USA. It is of very good quality, 18 inches long with each white pearl being approximately 7mm in width.

I very much appreciate your time.

Thank you, Eileen… Continue reading Value of Pearl Necklace...
