We've had the necklace tested to see if it was gold and it is, what karate rating they could not tell us?

My real question is, how would I know if it is tiffany?
Where would I find a source to identify the necklace?

I find it extraordinary that a professional jeweler could test (and I assume charge you?) as to gold quality - and then NOT tell you what Karat Grade it was. Find Another One!
Maybe you need to see a qualified gemologist and appraiser and get a full written appraisal done. At least then you'll know for sure, instead if simply guessing.
The art of research nearly ALWAYS comes down to good old books - and if you can't find this one in your local Library, you might want to purchase it. Alternatively, why not browse eBay for something similar...
