There are some clients who use our online appraisal system to cross test or get a ‘Ball Park’ figure on two items of jewelry. They simply purchase one Kit and then fill in the forms until they get a price in the Valuation Manager. This is a Insurance Replacement Valuation, so take that into account.
Once they have the first item priced they then go back into the Kit and modify and change the information to the second item. Once done, this will give the value for that. Compare the two and you have your question answered as to value.
As long as you NEVER print the Certificate, you can modify the item.
This is a Great tip and used by many of our professional sellers.
However as a general rule I would (if both items were equal in most respects) always get the best color (F-G as opposed to G-H) assuming the weights, cuts and clarity were the same.
But as I said - I can’t see these items.
