Gold verses Titanium
Titanium vs. silver Question: Hello, I have a Titanium engagement ring and while shopping for a wedding band I found one by Vanna K made in gray silver with pave sapphires set along all three sides of the ring.

The dealer told me that my silver engagement ring will cause loss over time to the gray metal from scraping up against it, since silver is more durable than gold.
Is this true or do you reflect he was just hoping for us to cough up for the added cost to have the ring ordered in gold?

Your jeweler is correct. HOWEVER: It will take many years for one ring to rub away the band of the understated metal.
You may have observed your Grandmothers marriage band becoming very thin because it was placed next to a harder 9ct gold band. The same occurrence happens with gold but it will take many years to do...
That has to be your call however.
