The reason for using gold with a higher content is to avoid allergic reactions to other alloys mixed in gold with lower quantities of pure gold. A fake diamond earring can suffice but it should still be made of at least 14 karats gold to prevent allergic reactions in the baby. Some jewelry makers make their gold settings from white gold, which is less of an allergenic than lower forms or karats or yellow gold. When To Put
