Eastern star ring Question: I have a gold ring that belonged to my great-great-grandmother.

It is affiliated with the Order of Eastern Star.
It is shaped to resemble a shooting star(thick raised gold as the head of the star and tapers into a tail of the shooting star as it wraps around your finger) and has 6 diamonds and 5 ruby's.
Any idea what this would appraise for?

Firstly I would like to say - you lucky ducky, as these designs are quite collectible, and I am assuming you are sure it is -what you say it is, and have had it tested by a gemologist appraiser some time in the past.
However; it is illegal for me to provide you with ANY kind of valuation as I can't see it, feel it, measure or test it.

You can do that appraisal yourself or give it to a qualified gemologist appraiser - but I can't because it's not in my possession.
You might also like to add this query to our Jewelry Forum where there are other 'Experts' as other may have had a similar problem. Can't hurt anyway and who knows what answers you may get.
