Tiffany Gold Necklace Question: My wife purchase a gold necklace that has Tiffany 750 marked on the clasp.
We've had the necklace tested to see if it was gold and it is, what karate rating they could not tell us?
Bejewelled by Tiffany 1837-1987
Price: $35.09
My real question is, how would I know if it is tiffany?
Where would I find a source to identify the necklace?
thank you for your help in advance.
Carl

birthday necklace Question: Hi David, I had a question regarding the value of a necklace I recently received from my boyfriend of 1 year for my birthday.
Glamorous Beaded Jewelry: Bracelets, Necklaces, Earrings, and Rings
Price: $10.00
The necklace is a little tennis charm with a small pearl on the racquet.
Because I was a little disappointed and nosy
I went online and looked up the item.
One website had a sterling sliver version that was really cheap.. but there was also a real silver version that looks a lot similar.
I was wondering if there was any way to distinguish the two? The only marking is a SN on the clasp.
Thanks for the help.

What To Do With A Big Jewelry Win Question: I recently won a piece of jewelry from a contest in the U.S.

The Art of the Steal: Inside the Sotheby's-Christie's Auction House Scandal
Price: $8.49
The insurance retail value is 280,000 dollars and I took it to Sotheby's and they told me that they will set the reserve at only 80,000 dollars.
Is that realistic?
Should I try another market besides the auction market?

A attractive and worthwhile add-on to any collection of charms is an opal gemstone.
Jesse Monongya: Opal Bears and Lapis Skies (American Indian Master Jewelers)
Price: $30.01 USD
Opals are ideally colorful, but if you do not know how to care for them you will not have a striking piece for long! There are many items to recollect about opal charms...

Depreciating Jewellery Question: I have recently had jewellery stolen in NZ and haggling with the insurance valuations
We have valuation certificates on some pieces dating from 1999 in South Africa and the valuer is now telling me that the items have depreciated against these values by about 20%
Sweetheart Jewelry and Collectibles (Schiffer Book for Collectors With Value Guide)
Price: $19.08 USD
Considering that amongst other things that the gold price has risen from US$300 to US$670 in the mean time I find this difficult to believe. How can the "market value" depreciate when retail value is escalating.
All the pieces are 9kt but vary from braclets to rings to neck chains.
We would appreciate your comments

Mitchell wrote: "Hello, I recently found an item I bought a couple years ago and was wondering what the suggested retail price of it was.

Price: $14.83
The card that came with it says it is from the Serena Collection and is a Sterling Silver and 18 karat gold necklace with an oval shaped blue topaz.
Thank you so much for your time and assistance.
